Volcano King Coffee

Farming is a noble effort
Rainoldo Cancino and his wife Esperanza started with humble roots decades ago in Kona, Hawaii. They now have the biggest Kona coffee farm in terms of acres under cultivation and coffee bean production. For Rainoldo, farming is a noble effort, intertwining people’s lives with the land to form a bond unlike any other. Work and reward go hand in hand when it comes to farming.
Unique Terroir
Volcano King Coffee is grown on farms that have deep, rich, and fertile volcanic soils in Kona, Hawaii. The warm sunlit mornings, afternoon clouds, and cool mountain breezes at night provide the perfect environment for coffee plants to thrive. This “terroir” gives Volcano King Coffee a unique profile that cannot be duplicated elsewhere.
Sustainable Farming Practices
At Volcano King Coffee, we take pride in using sustainable farming practices to control water and reduce the need for chemicals and pesticides. We are a totally integrated farm, which means we take care of everything from growing to processing the coffee beans.
High-Quality Beans
Volcano King Coffee grows only Arabica coffee, with mostly Typica, Bourbon, and Catuai varieties. These larger beans produce rich and balanced flavors. With a growing season that is almost year-round, cherries mature at different times, which means 100% of our beans are handpicked at their peak to ensure the best quality.
Membership in Hawaii Coffee Association and Federal and State Licensing
Volcano King Coffee is a proud member of Hawaii Coffee Association, and we are a licensed coffee processor under the State of Hawaii Department of Agriculture. Our facilities are FDA registered. This ensures that our coffee is of the highest quality and meets all regulations.
